A debrief session of Ube Kosen overseas training in 2016 was held at the multimedia learning room and the audiovisual room on October 19th. 53 students from the first grade of regular course to the second grade of the Academic course who went to Australia, Taiwan, or Singapore to study during summer vacation reported their experiences and what they learned from their overseas trainings.

The presentations were held at two venues. A debrief sessions of overseas training at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages in Taiwan, National United University in Taiwan, and Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore were held at the multimedia learning room that is the first venue. A debrief session of overseas training at Singapore Polytechnic University and Newcastle University was held at the audiovisual room that is the second venue.

In the presentations, one student presented “Education in Singapore” and talked about the comparison of education system in Singapore with in Japan, or one student presented “The 4P difference between Japan 7-11 and Taiwan 7-11” and talked about the result of his research of the differences of 7-11’s business strategy in Taiwan and in Japan. A question-and-answer session was also done in English, and many participants ask questions.

Ube Kosen has been adopted as “Acceleration Program for University Education Rebuilding, Theme Ⅳ:Gap-year program ”. We make it a goal to send 100 students per year to an overseas program by 2019. We mount an effort to improve ability to adopt different culture and develop global engineers.
