On January 21st, they invited Mrs. Chen Yuming from Taiwan and held “Workshop on teaching method of Chinese” at Hiroshima RCC culture center.

Mrs. Chen Yuming was a teacher at Chine Language Center of National United University in Taiwan, which Ube Kosen has concluded an academic exchange agreement with. She is an expert in teaching Chinese language in a fun way to foreign people.
She used lots of materials in this workshop, and the workshop was designed to learn Chinese in fun way.

Not only teachers who are interested in Chinese language education from National Institutes of Technology, universities, and high schools, but also graduate students, and general citizens who work as a volunteer guide in Hiroshima, total of 25 people attended the workshop. Some of them came all the way from Hokkaido, or Kochi.
Chinese language class is a required course for 4th grade students at Ube Kosen and this is rare among other National Institutes of Technology in the country. We will keep working on improvement of Chinese language education at National Institutes of Technology, cooperating with our partner universities in Taiwan and China.
