Ube Kosen and Sasebo Kosen had Regional Revitalization English Meeting at HUIS TEN BOSCH in Nagasaki on March 2nd and 3rd. This event is for introducing better education system between Kosen schools through the students’ exchanges, promoting regional understanding to increase the rate of taking root in a community of graduates, and for language acquisition to respond to globalization. The students had an English presentation and a Field-English experience activity.
18 regular students of the 2nd grade and the 3rd grade of Ube Kosen, and 13 students of Sasebo Kosen joined this training. They presented about Ube city, Sasebo city and each other’s Kosen using English, then asked and answered questions with the native English teacher. It was a great opportunity for the students to reaffirm their homwtown, and to understand the different between their schools.

The students teamed up with the native speakers and walked around HUIS TEN BOSCH to find some English keywords to complete a question sheet. They could learn natural English through the Field-English experience activity.

Ube Kosen will continue promoting students’ exchanges with other Kosen schools from now on.
