On Friday, June 24, 2025, two exchange students, Kyla and Gina, arrived from Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages in Taiwan, and on the following day, June 25, they paid a courtesy visit to Principal Kanedera.

Over the course of approximately one month, the two students will participate in teaching practice conducted in English, primarily through classes offered by the Department of Business and Information Systems. During their stay, they are expected to join in dormitory activities and various on-campus events, contributing to international exchange among students.

Ube Kosen will provide a warm welcome and continuous support for exchange students. This includes the involvement of students affiliated with the International Exchange Division, faculty and staff from the Study Abroad and Exchange Office led by Professor Shinoda, and faculty members of the Department of Business and Information Systems, including Professor Tagawa.

Commemorative Gift Presented to Principal Kanedera by Short-term Exchange Students

In addition to Kyla and Gina, the school is also hosting several other short-term exchange students during the first semester, including four students from Taiwan specializing in Chinese language education, one student from Taiwan conducting research, and six students from Vietnam. In total, we are welcoming 13 short-term exchange students this semester.

This provides an excellent opportunity for Japanese students to experience international exchange in a close and meaningful way. Going forward, we will continue to actively promote international exchange through both the acceptance of international students and dispatch of our students abroad.
