Conclusion of an agreement for academic exchange and cooperation between Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages in Taiwan and Ube Kosen

On March 28th, 2016, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages in Taiwan, and Ube Kosen, concluded of an agreement for academic exchange and cooperation at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages. The agreement is focus on an exchange of teachers, an implementation of student exchange programs, and a promotion of joint researches.

At the signing ceremony, the president of Ube Kosen, Mr. Mitani and the academic vice president of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages Ms. Mei-Hua CHEN, Ed.D. signed the agreement and agreed to deepen exchange between both schools.

After the ceremony, Ms. Mei-Hua CHEN, Ed.D. guided a group of Ube Kosen to the university campus facilities and they observed a lecture of linguistics. On the next day, Professor Hatamura and Associate Professor Tagawa gave a lecture about Ube Kosen and Japanese food culture for the students at the Japanese language department.

Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages the only institute in Taiwan that has five-year engineering education after graduation junior high school. Also, there is a four-year college in the same campus that focuses on the teaching of foreign languages. Professor Hatamura visited the university during he was staying in Taiwan as a research worker abroad in December, 2014. Taking this opportunity, Ube Kosen could achieve the conclusion of this agreement with Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages.

By this agreement, we will enhance international mutual understanding, academic cooperative relationship, and cultural mutual understanding through education, researches, and exchanges between teachers and students between both schools. Especially, we will cooperate for language education such as Chinese and English, liberal arts education, accepting internship students. We will also have a relationship with the department of English and the department of International Business Administration.
