On Thursday, July 3, 2024, after school, we held a welcome party for the short-term international students of the first semester of 2024 in our Pelican Cafeteria. The group included 10 students from United University and 4 students from Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, both from Taiwan. About 30 Japanese students participated in the event, excluding members of the Student Council International Exchange Club who planned and organized the party.

Principal Kanedera gave a welcoming address, followed by a gesture guessing game hosted in English. After taking group photos, participants enjoyed a pizza party where they mingled freely. Although there was some initial hesitation during the gesture game, everyone gradually relaxed and opened up as they moved around, which helped make the exchange lively and enjoyable.

During the pizza party, the organizers faced some challenges baking the frozen pizzas one by one, but the participants seemed very pleased with the hot, fresh pizzas, and the conversations became lively and enjoyable.
