From Thursday, August 14 to Friday, September 19, a joint overseas training program for six Kosen colleges was conducted at the National United University in Miaoli City, Taiwan, which has a comprehensive agreement with the Kosen system and an academic exchange agreement with Ube National College of Technology. Ten students, including three from our school, participated in the program.

The participants in this training program were ten students from six Kosen colleges: Ube, Niihama, Anan, Matsue, Kochi, and Oyama. Among them, three students from the Ube National College of Technology participated: one third-year student from the Department of Management Information, and two first-year students from the Department of Management and Information Engineering.

The third-year undergraduate students spent the first two weeks attending Chinese language classes in the morning and conducting research related to their majors in the afternoon. From the third week onward, they focused on research full-time. The two graduate students conducted research related to their major throughout the entire program. All three students conducted their training under Professor Guangming Guo at the College of Management at National United University.

During the program, in addition to their specialized training, the students participated in cultural experience tours organized by the Office of Research and Development (International Affairs) at the National United University, as well as various events planned by the university’s international volunteer students. This provided a valuable opportunity to interact with students from other Kosen colleges whom they would normally not have had the chance to meet.
