The four students completed their teaching practice at the college over a five-month period beginning in October 2025. During their training, they not only taught regular English and Chinese classes but also actively engaged with our students through on-campus international exchange activities and participation in Taiwanese Mandarin courses at the international dormitory.

We hope they will continue to maintain connections with faculty and students even after returning to their home countries.

Comments from the Short-Term Exchange Students

Ms.YANG,JIE-YI (third-year student, Department of Foreign Language Education, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages)

I am truly happy to have learned so much during these five months. I will never forget everything I experienced here. With every conversation, I felt my bond with the students of National Institute of Technology, Ube College grow stronger. Some students even said, “I’m going to Taiwan!” and hearing that made me very happy. I sincerely look forward to the day when I can show them around Taiwan.

Ms.WANG,CHEN-CHEN (fourth-year student, Department of Foreign Language Education, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages)

Today, I completed my final presentation. I was both surprised and delighted that second-year students from the Department of Electrical Engineering attended our presentation. I am grateful that they came. Five months is a long period of time, and it was very difficult to summarize all my experiences in seven minutes because there was so much I wanted to convey. Nevertheless, this was an excellent opportunity to reflect on my experiences at National Institute of Technology, Ube College. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Professor Okada and all the faculty and staff members who guided me so diligently throughout these five months.

Ms.CHANG,WEN-TZU (third-year student, Department of Applied Chinese, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages)

Looking back on the past five months, I truly feel that I have grown. Initially, I had little experience and felt nervous and anxious when speaking in front of others, but now presenting feels natural. I believe this change resulted from repeated practice and perseverance. I am also deeply grateful to Professor Hatamura for his careful guidance and warm support over these five months. Not only did he provide expert advice during class, but every word he spoke to me when I was troubled helped me grow gradually. I will always cherish the support and teachings I received during this period. The road ahead remains long, but with the courage and experience I gained during these five months in Ube, I will continue to strive forward.

Ms.YE,ZI-YU (third-year student, Department of Applied Chinese, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages)

I am truly grateful to the teachers who guided me over these past five months. This internship clearly showed me what I was lacking. I am not naturally an extroverted person, and I often lacked confidence and felt unable to stand out. However, I feel that I now have a clearer understanding of what I want. Although this internship at National Institute of Technology, Ube College has come to an end, I will return to Taiwan and continue dedicating myself to my studies.

The students who participated in the exchange also joined the commemorative photograph taken after the presentation session.
