On June 23rd, Mr. He,Xiuren, a teacher of the department of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at National United University in Taiwan gave a lecture. He came to Ube Kosen to lead the Taiwanese interns.
The title of the lecture was “Similarities and differences between Japanese culture and Taiwanese culture from Kanji”.
We use the same Kanji in Japan and Taiwan, but we use them in different meanings. Also there are some nonsensical Kanji in Taiwan but we use them regularly in Japan.
Mr. He,Xiuren talked about these things using examples which he actually saw and heard in Japan.
At the lecture.
Mr. He,Xiuren is a researcher of classical Chinese literature, but also he has a detailed knowledge of art and culture. He also is a writer of essays.
On the day, students and stuff of Ube Kosen and also citizens in general came to the lecture and everyone enjoyed the lecture.
