【Kosen International Project/ Vietnam】Hue Industrial College: Kosen Course students had a factory tour

As part of Kosen International Project (Vietnam) which Ube Kosen promotes as a lead school, a factory tour was arranged for Hue Industrial College. Forty-seven students in the second year and four teachers and staff visited VIET HOA ELECTRONIC (Japanese company: Group company of Murata Manufacturing CO., LTD.) in Danang on Saturday, December 26, 2020.

The factory tour was the second time following 2019, and it was a part of career education for our pilot schools. Mr. Hayashida (head of the Vietnam liaison office) and Ms. Tan Lee joined the tour from our Vietnam liaison office.

Forty-seven students in the second year of the course opened at Hue Industrial College in September separated into two buses went to the factory.

Mr. Hayashida explained the summary of Kosen education for pilot school’s teachers and staff the day before the factory tour and asked them to understand the Kosen education more. Also, he provided orientation before the factory tour and assigned a report to submit after the factory tour to students. He worked with the pilot schools for students to learn better during the factory tour.

On the tour day, employees who graduated from Hue Industrial College gave some advice to students saying “Please study basic well at school, so that you do not have to learn again at work.” And Mr. Nakajima, head of the factory, said “Please come to visit the factory often. We want you to come to work with us.”

Ube Kosen will work with facilitator Suzuki, Department of international planning of the National Institute of Technology and promote to the head offices of Japanese companies, and continue to provide career education on Kosen course in the future.
