For 2 weeks from August 13th, a Chinese language training was held at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages in Kaohsiung city, Taiwan. Ube Kosen has concluded an academic exchange agreement with this university. 6 students of Ube Kosen, 1 student of Tsuyama Kosen and 1 student of Niihama Kosen, from Chugoku・Shikoku districts, total of 8 students among of the lower grades, joined the training.

The students of Kosen took Chinese language and Chinese culture classes in the morning and in the afternoon, total of 4 hours, with taking a lunch break. Graduate students of the department of Applied Chinese at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages took turn to teach the Chinese language class as a place to practice student teaching.

Active learning method was mainly used in the lessons, such as cards games and activities. The lessons were designed to be able to enjoy for beginners of learning Chinese.

After the lessons in the afternoon, the graduate students of the department of Applied Chinese assisted the students of Kosen with reviewing their lessons and researching their research assignments till five o’clock.
On August 25th, a course completion presentation was held and the vice president of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages attended the session. The students of Kosen talked about their progress of their training only in Chinese and English.
