26 students and 3 teachers of Ube Kosen attended Go Global Japan Expo held at the University of Kitakyushu on December 11th, 2016.
※ Go global Japan Expo is an event held by 42 universities which have been selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as “Supporting project to foster people who can contribute to the development of economic society”. This event is a counseling and experienced-based event for going on to college and going study abroad. It was held at 4 universities (Tohoku University, Waseda University, Tottori University, and The University of Kitakyushu) this year.
At the venue
At the event, Mr. Hiroto Onishi, a professor of Toyo Gakuen University, and Mr. Tetsuya Yasukochi, the teacher of Toshin High School gave a lecture. Also at the workshop titled “English Conversation at a global scene”, the participants were divided into pairs with their neighbors and tried to solve quiz-style problems. They could learn English with interest.

The two teachers’ lectures were active-learning style and the lectures provided a valuable experience for the students who took part in.
