On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the International Exchange Department hosted a farewell party for 10 short-term international students enrolled in the program for the first semester of the academic year 2026. Approximately 30 individuals attended the event, including Japanese and long-term international students.
During the farewell pizza party, a game of “Taboo” (played in English) was organized to help the short-term international students strengthen their connections with the Japanese students, as this was one of the last opportunities for them to interact with each other at Ube Kosen.

Several Japanese students participated in the event. To encourage authentic interactions, the groups were given time before the game to introduce themselves and review the rules. Additionally, efforts were made to create an atmosphere where the Japanese students could comfortably converse with the international students proactively, resulting in lively interaction throughout the game.
