We conducted international language training at the English village, Yeungjin University for 13 days from Monday, March 11 to Saturday, March 23. A total of 9 students (5 1st-year students and 4 2nd-year students from Ube Kosen Main Course) joined the training.
The spring language training in Korea at this time was to provide English training and Korean culture training targeting mainly junior students. 51 students from 9 Kosen (Ube Kosen, Niihama Kosen, Hiroshima Shosen Kosen, Oshima Shosen Kosen, Kure Kosen, Matsue Kosen, Tsuyama Kosen, Anan Kosen, and Kagawa Kosen) joined the training. All the students stayed in the dormitory at the English Village. The room temperature at the dormitory was controlled by an underfloor heating system (Korean heater, Ondol) and the 3 meals were provided in the buffet style. So, they had a good training environment.

The classes were provided to small groups of students and matched to the students’ level. They learned English conversations for various situations, such as a restaurant, airplane, homestay, and drug store. They had classes all day, and they had review time with a native English teacher at the end of the day.

We had good feedback from the students because they managed to expand their network with the local teachers and other Kosen students who joined the training, and they had a great experience. So, many students wanted to join the training again.
