Introducing Taiwan to our 1st year students

Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages is the only one university that offers foreign languages programs in Taiwan. We signed MOU with them on March 28/ 2016. Since then, their students who study Chinese, Japanese and English visit to Ube Kosen, and they usually stay for 3 weeks to 1 month as interns.

We accept about 60 international students every year for 2 weeks to 6months as Ube Kosen signed MOU with Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand and others. International students join local community activities as well and that way, they are able to understand Japan more. And we can contribute to local community globalization.

Message from Ms. Yang, Yi-Chia (Jessy)

Hi, everyone. This is Jessy. I’m from Taiwan. I’m a senior majoring in Foreign Language Instruction at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages. It’s my second time to teach English at Ube College. Last summer, since I had a fantastic time here, I made up my mind to come back one more time. The students’ passion and hospitality make me feel like being home again!!
For me, every experience is an opportunity to grow. I’m enthusiastic about learning languages and traveling to different countries. I took Japanese courses in my university, and this is my eighth time to visit Japan. Those unforgettable experiences and adventure broaden my horizons. I will stay here until August. I’m really looking forward to having cultural exchange and English lessons with you all.

Message from Mr. Jao, Chih-Wei (Dean)

My name is Chih Wei Jao, and English name is Dean. I come from Taiwan. I am a college student from Department of Foreign Language Instruction in Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages. Teaching English always makes me feel sense of achievement. Therefore, I decide to be an excellent English teacher in my future.
I like to watch movies and hang out with my friends in my daily life. In addition, I like to go traveling and make friends from different countries. By getting along with them, I can not only learn different cultural things but also realize how passionate they are for their life.
