Message from Students

Mr. Shunta Fujimori (2nd year of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Professional/ Future Technology, UK)

I will study programming which will be taught by an IT company at Nacel English School in London, UK. London has been promoting “Tech City London” targeting technology companies, and there are companies with cutting-edge technology. I will acquire practical skills by taking classes provided the IT company. I will also research train cars which were imported from Japan as other activities, outside of regular classes. I would like to be a railway engineer in the future and introduce to the world new railway transportation technology with IT.

Ms. Ena Kidani (2nd year of Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Professional/ Future Technology, Indonesia)

I will research Tempeh in Indonesia. Tempeh is an Indonesian fermented soy food. It is now popular in the world as it is healthy and good in the environment. I want more people in Japan and other countries to know Tempeh. This is the reason why I will go to study in Indonesia. I am willing to work hard if I can solve food issues and develop new products with Tempeh bacteria in the future. Also, I would like to search my own roots at this opportunity as I have an Indonesian background as well. I will find my role to connect Japan and Indonesia!

Mr. Wataru Yoshimura (3rd year of Department of Intelligent System Engineering, Professional/ Future Technology, Philippines & Malaysia)

I will study in Cebu island, Philippines for three weeks, also study at MARA University of Technology in Malaysia for four weeks. I would like to develop an autopilot car which is safe for everybody in the future. I want to acquire the necessary skills to develop an autopilot car. Ms. Yoshimi Sono (3rd year of Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Professional, Malaysia)

I will study Phytoremediation at MARA University of Technology in Malaysia. I will also learn the nature and characteristics of plant to find more efficient way. Malaysia has many rare plants, and I would like to see them and study them!

Ms. Aika Murata (3rd year of Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Professional, Malaysia)

I will research plants at MARA University of Technology in Malaysia for five weeks. When I visited Malaysia last year, I learned Halal (Islamic law) applied not only to food but others as well. Cosmetics are also one of them. I want to develop cosmetics in the future. So if I develop cosmetics made by plants, Halal will accept my products. For this purpose, I want to gain plants knowledge in Malaysia where has plenty of plants. This study abroad will be a good opportunity for me to learn more plants, cosmetics, and religious law. And it will make my school life more meaningful.

Ms. Kasumi Nishiyama (3rd year of Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Professional, Malaysia)

I will do medical research at MARA University of Technology in Malaysia for five weeks. The reason why I am interested in medical research for allergy patients is that I have a food allergy. I will study the fundamental of medical research like chemical synthesis in the research office at the university. I will also research local medication and sales methods. I would like to understand medication more through research and local surveys.

Ms. Miho Shigemasa (3rd year of Department of Business Administration, Professional/ Future Technology, Philippines)

I will go to study in Cebu, Philippines for four weeks and want to learn three things mainly. The first one is programming. I will learn about building websites and web design. The second one is the business. I want to gain practical business skills which I cannot learn at Ube Kosen. The third one is English. I will improve my English speaking skills by taking private lessons with native instructors. I would like to plan events like live music and shows to entertain people, and also want to deliver excitement and passion. It would be great if I can create entertainment to impress people in the world from Japan. For that, I would like to have many experiences in Philippines and it will benefit my future.

Ms. Ami Tamura (3rd year of Department of Business Administration, Professional, Korea)

I will study at Yeungjin University in Daegu, Korea for about two months. I will take classes taught by a professor who majors Japanese and Korean marketing and research actual markets. I should be able to learn Korean marketing which is more worldwide than Japanese. Also, I will study English and Korean at the language center in the university. I decided to study in Korea because I would like to be a marketer for Japanese artists and make them succeed in the world. I want to gain not only knowledge and skills, but communication skills, confident and international way of thinking. I will make efforts to be more active.
