We signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on “Students Exchange” with the MARA University of Technology (Malaysia) on December 15, 2022.
Based on an exchange agreement signed by the National Institute of Technology and the MARA University of Technology, Ube Kosen started the international exchange with the MARA University of Technology, for example, sending our students to the MARA University of Technology or vice versa in 2017. We continued the international exchange online while we could not visit each other because of COVID-19. We agreed to have the MoU based on these past achievements.

After they signed, the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Siti gave a memorial gift with the MARA University of Technology logo and President Yamakawa gave Ouchi Doll which was Yamaguchi Prefecture’s traditional craft to celebrate the MoU.
We re-started the international exchange to visit each other for the first time in 3 years this year. 14 students joined the summer training program and we accepted 1 teacher and 10 students from the MARA University of Technology by using Sakura Science Program from December 13, 2022 to December 19, 2022. We look forward that the MoU will lead us to have more international exchange to fulfill and expand the international exchange programs.
