令和7年7月24日（木）、台湾の国立聯合大学から来校していた留学生4名の成果報告会を開催し、本校での1か月半の活動を締めくくりました。4名は宇部高専での中国語教育に参加し、中国語や台湾の文化について宇部高専の学生に教えてくれました。
発表後質疑応答に答える短期留学生
成果報告会には、留学生から中国語を学んだ日本人学生たちも参加し、英語でのプレゼンテーション発表を聞きました。留学生と日本人学生の双方にとって、文化や言語を学習する貴重な機会となったようです。

宇部高専では、後期にも留学生を受け入れる予定です。今後も、国際交流を通じた実践的な多文化教育を推進していきます。

Today’s presentation was really nerve-wracking. Although the content was quite similar to what I presented in Kōchi, this time it included more extended parts, so I felt a bit pressed for time. If I had prepared a little earlier, it could have been even better. Still, everyone did a great job overall. Since I was the first to present, my part was a bit awkward and nervous—I hope I can be more confident next time. I also hope that if I get another chance to intern in Japan, I can challenge myself to give the presentation in Japanese!
All in all, I’m really happy with my time in Japan. I got to interact with many people and learned a lot. Thank you to the teachers for your care and to Ube Kōsen for all the support!

Today’s presentation was an unforgettable experience for me. I was actually very nervous before going on stage, and a bit afraid that I wasn’t well prepared or that I might not speak English well, which could affect the overall performance. However, once the presentation started, the atmosphere was much more relaxed than I had expected. The audience was very focused and seemed truly interested in our work. That helped me calm down and feel less nervous. The Q&A session was also fun, and I felt a genuine sense of interaction and support.
Lastly, I sincerely want to thank everyone who came to the presentation, including the principal, the director, the teachers, and the students. Thank you all for your support and encouragement—it helped me successfully complete the presentation and grow a lot through this experience.

Before today’s final presentation, I was extremely nervous because my English speaking skills aren’t very strong, and I had a lot of research results to share, which made me feel a bit overwhelmed. As a result, I spoke rather quickly. However, once I got on stage, I wasn’t as nervous as I had imagined. Although I still stumbled a bit during the presentation, I did better than before, and I feel that I’ve made progress.
I hope I can have more opportunities to use English in the future, so I won’t feel so resistant to it. This presentation helped me grow a lot, and I believe I’ve achieved the goal I set before coming to Ube: to improve my stage presence and become more composed—especially when speaking in a language that isn’t my native tongue, which usually makes me even more nervous. But in this presentation, I think I did a great job.
Thank you to the teammates and mentors who supported me. I’ll continue working hard to become a better version of myself.

I feel very honored to be the host and speaker at today’s presentation. This experience was very special to me and I learned so much from it. I’m really glad I had the chance to stand on stage and share what I’ve learned. It was meaningful to look back on my internship and hear about everyone’s experiences and efforts.
During this internship, I improved my language skills, learned how to prepare lessons, interact with students, and gained something new from every class. Today’s presentation also helped me reflect on this journey and see how much each of us has grown.
I’m truly thankful for this valuable opportunity to intern in Japan. I want to sincerely thank all the teachers at Ube Kōsenfor their support and guidance, and also thank the students for being so kind and helpful. Because of you, this internship was not only successful but also full of great memories.
