令和7年2月26日（水）、文藻外語大学（台湾）の短期留学生4名の成果報告会とcertificate授与式を行いました。成果報告会では、一般科岡田美鈴准教授が指導した英語教育実習生2名と、一般科畑村学教授が指導した中国語教育実習生2名が、令和6年10月から令和7年2月までの5カ月にわたり取り組んだ成果を発表しました。宇部高専において、教育実習を通した宇部高専学生との交流や、日本の文化や習慣などを経験する良い機会になりました。将来は、日本と台湾の架け橋となる人材になることを期待しています。

　My name is 黃怡偵ヨ―ヨー, a student in the Department of Applied Chinese Language at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages. I recently completed a five-month internship, which greatly enhanced my teaching skills and strengthened my passion for Chinese language education. At the beginning, I struggled with course design due to my lack of experience, spending a long time just structuring lesson plans. However, with my mentor’s guidance, I gradually developed a more systematic approach. We emphasized “learning with joy”, designing creative and interactive activities to engage students in learning Chinese.
　 Every day, I challenged myself to come up with new and exciting activities to keep students motivated. Beyond classroom teaching, I actively participated in a speech event at Yamaguchi University and my school’s admissions activities, gaining valuable presentation and communication skills. Additionally, I worked on a Chinese language teaching video project, making our lessons accessible to a wider audience of learners. This experience deepened my understanding of technology’s role in education and inspired me to explore innovative teaching methods.
　 The biggest takeaway from this internship was that it confirmed my aspiration to become a Chinese language teacher. Teaching is not just about delivering knowledge—it is about inspiring students and fostering a love for language and culture. The skills I gained in lesson planning, classroom management, and student engagement will be invaluable in my future career. I am truly grateful for this opportunity, as it has laid a strong foundation for my journey as a Chinese language educator. I look forward to applying what I have learned to help more students enjoy learning Chinese.

　私は文藻外語大学応用中国語学科の黃怡偵ヨーヨーです。最近、5ヶ月間のインターンシップを修了し、中国語教育に対する情熱が高まりました。当初は、経験不足のため授業設計に苦戦し、授業計画の構成だけに長い時間を費やしました。しかし、メンターの指導により、徐々に体系的なアプローチを身につけることができました。私たちは「楽しく学ぶ」ことを重視し、学生が中国語の学習に夢中になるような創造的でインタラクティブな活動をデザインしました。
　毎日、学生のモチベーションを維持するために、新しくエキサイティングな活動を考え出すことに挑戦しました。教室で教えるだけでなく、山口大学のスピーチイベントや学校の入試活動にも積極的に参加し、貴重なプレゼンテーションやコミュニケーションのスキルを身につけました。さらに、私は中国語教育のビデオプロジェクトに取り組み、より多くの学習者が私たちの授業にアクセスできるようにしました。この経験は、教育におけるテクノロジーの役割についての私の理解を深め、革新的な教授法を探求するきっかけとなりました。
　このインターンシップの最大の収穫は、中国語教師になるという私の願望を確認できたことです。教えるということは、単に知識を伝えることではなく、学生の心を動かし、言語や文化に対する愛情を育むことなのです。授業計画、クラス運営、学生との関わり方など、私が得たスキルは必ず役に立ちます。

　During my internship at Ube Kosen, I enhanced my teaching experience and improved my teaching skills. I learned a lot of professional knowledge, such as the important things to consider when preparing lessons, techniques and attitudes for teaching, and most importantly, the interactions that should take place between teachers and students. Since our teaching was mostly activity-based, I believe that interaction with students is very important. In addition to participating in formal classes and dormitory lessons, we also took part in many educational activities, including attending a cultural course at Yamaguchi University and participating in recruitment activities.
　These experiences helped us develop our ability to think critically about educational activities and choose more engaging and beneficial content for teaching. Life at Ube Kosen is very colorful. Apart from the internship activities mentioned above, we also participated in many cultural experiences, which made my six months here very vibrant. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have this internship, as it has been the most exciting and important part of my university life.

　宇部高専でのインターンシップで、私は教師としての経験を積み、教えるスキルを向上させました。授業を準備する際に考慮すべき重要なこと、教えるためのテクニックや態度、そして最も重要なこととして、教師と学生の間で行われるべき相互作用など、多くの専門的知識を学びました。私たちの授業はほとんど活動ベースだったので、学生との交流はとても重要だと思います。正式な授業や寮での授業に参加するだけでなく、山口大学の文化講座に参加したり、リクルート活動に参加したりと、多くの教育活動に参加しました。
　これらの経験は、教育活動について批判的に考え、より魅力的で有益な指導内容を選択する能力を養うのに役立ちました。宇部高専での生活はとてもカラフルです。上記のインターンシップ活動以外にも、多くの文化体験に参加し、ここでの半年間はとても活気のあるものになりました。このインターンシップの機会は、私の大学生活の中で最も刺激的で重要なものであり、とても感謝しています。

　This internship in Japan was a valuable experience. At first, I felt nervous because everything was unfamiliar. However, I quickly learned how to adapt and communicate better. During work, I improved my teaching skills. I learned how to explain things clearly and keep students focused. When students didn’t understand, repeating key points helped them learn better. These experiences made me more confident in teaching. I also became more independent.
　Living in a new place taught me to manage my time and daily tasks. I learned how to plan my schedule and handle problems by myself. Overall, this internship helped me grow. I gained a lot. I am thankful for this opportunity, and these skills will help me in the future.

　This internship in Japan has been a meaningful and rewarding experience. Since I mainly taught young children at Wenzao in Taiwan, I had to adjust my teaching approach when working with students at the Japanese technical college. Through hands-on teaching, I better understood my strengths and areas for improvement, especially in student interaction and communication across cultural and language barriers. I also observed key differences between Japanese and Taiwanese education, such as class duration, learning methods, and teacher-student interactions, which deepened my understanding of teaching.
　Beyond improving my teaching skills, this internship also gave me valuable insights into classroom management, from lesson preparation to student engagement and post-lesson reviews. These five months were both fulfilling and memorable, allowing me to grow as an educator while gaining firsthand experience in a different educational system.
