2021年9月2日（木）、オンラインにて第4回NIT-NUU日台国際カンファレンス（担当校：阿南高専、協力校：香川高専）が開催され、本校の学生からは5名（口頭発表2名、ポスター発表3名）が発表を行いました。
NIT-NUU日台国際カンファレンスは、台湾の國立聯合大学と中国・四国地区（第4ブロック）高専の教員及び学生が研究発表を行い、学術的に交流を行うことを目的としています。一昨年までは、【対面での研究発表】
が行われていましたが、昨年度は新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響で中止。今回は２年ぶりの開催となりました。

カンファレンスでは、10のセッション（機械、化学・生物化学・材料、電気・電子、制御情報、土木・建築・環境、教育・文化、技術者教育、言語教育）に分かれ、英語で口頭発表とポスター発表が行われました。発表後の質疑応答では、活発な議論・意見交換がなされました。
第5回は2022年に聯合大学主催で台湾において開催される予定です。

I made a study presentation on blue carbon in the Seto Inland Sea at the 4th NIT-NUU Bilateral Academic Conference 2021. It was my first presentation in English, so it was tough to prepare and practice presentations in English. I was very worried if I couldn’t answer some questions in English. I felt that it was difficult to present my study, which is why I needed to study English more after the conference.

I made a study presentation on COVID-19 concentration in the sewage treatment plants at the 4th NIT-NUU Bilateral Academic Conference 2021. I studied at MARA University of Technology in Malaysia when I was a third-grade student in 2019. I thought that the experience I had at that time was useful and helpful. I will continue to make efforts every day so that I can present my study results. I hope that it will be face-to-face for the next conference, and I would like to deepen my knowledge in exchanges with students at Taiwan National United University.

I participated in the poster presentation at the 4th NIT-NUU Bilateral Academic Conference. It was held online due to the corona disaster, but I faced it with the same tension as when I actually announced it locally. Since it was a poster presentation, it was important to get people to listen to it, but there were also difficulties unique to online, such as the need to devise how to attract people in a virtual venue online. I don’t have many opportunities to attend international conferences, so it was a very good experience.
